Workshops and useful links

During the year, we host parent/carer workshops with the support of the Camden Mental Health Team. Here is a list of the types of workshop subject areas:

  • Supporting your child to cope with change and transitions
  • An introduction to the Zones of Regulation
  • Supporting your child to manage different friendships and difficult feelings
  • Self-esteem, self-confidence and body image
  • Supporting your child to cope with anxiety and stress
  • Helping your child build resilience and positive mental health
  • Emotion Coaching
  • Anti-bullying

Useful links and support

Here are useful links to mental health and wellbeing information and support for our parents/carers, staff and children:

  • Educational Psychology Service -  The EP service aims to improve the learning and development of vulnerable children and young people from 0–25 years. To help achieve this, they work with children and young people, parents and carers. They also work with schools, services and agencies from within the local authority and across the community.

 

  • Camden Parentand carer Counselling Service


  • The Anna Freud Centre - The Anna Freud Centre publishes tips for parents on how to talk about mental health with your children.  

           

Childline is a free, confidential service for anyone under 19 in the UK with any issue they’re going through, day or night. You can talk about anything. Whether it’s something big or small, their trained counsellors are there to support you. Call 0800 1111.

  • NSPCC - The UK children's charity 

Providing support to parents and children to prevent abuse. You can contact the NSPCC Helpline by calling 0808 800 5000, emailing help@NSPCC.org.uk or completing our report abuse online form. Their Helpline is currently available 11am–3pm Monday to Friday.
